MUMBAI: Ashi Singh is best known for her portrayal of Naina Agarwal in Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. She has also won hearts with her dual portrayal of Meet Hooda and Sumeet Sangwan in Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet. Ashi Singh has also appeared in Secret Diaries: The Hidden Chapters, Gumrah, Crime Patrol, Savdhaan India, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, and Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga.
As the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is here, actress Ashi Singh is celebrating it and enjoying the festivities with joy. She welcomed Ganeshji at home which reflects Krishan ji as well.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and discussed how her Mannat gets fulfilled and she started welcoming Ganeshji at home.
Whose idea was it to bring Krishna-style idols for this year?
Nothing was decided about it. We visit idol pandals every year, and there is one particular idol with whom we feel a connection. Every member of the family has this emotion for a different idol, but when it comes to the same one, we choose to go for it. We decided to go ahead and bring the idol home even though it hadn't been painted and needed some work done.
Is the family having any conversations about decoration?
Every time we discuss it, I like managing everything, but we end up giving decorators and offering them various solutions and ideas. They eventually turn to making such decorations.
How many years have you been welcoming Ganeshji at home and whether it was your or your parent's decision to do it?
It’s been approximately 7 years since we have welcomed Ganeshji at home. It was Mannat to welcome Ganeshji at home when we will have our own home. Then only we started doing it. Eventually, we also bought a second home.
Have you ever wished especially about your Project or work Ganehsji?
No, I haven't specifically looked for that. I've always been grateful and felt blessed for it. I feel like I got more than I deserve because of God's grace. I'm thankful that my efforts pay off since while many individuals work hard, not everyone is successful. Pooja is the thank-you gesture I do for everything I have been receiving.
What would she like to say to her fans?
I want to express my gratitude to my fans for their love and support. Even after all these years in the industry, they continue to love me unconditionally. I didn't know that my show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai was celebrating its anniversary, but my fans have reminded me of it and congratulated me on that. I am appreciative of their love for me.
