MUMBAI : After its successful run at the theatres and also the OTT space, Divya Khossla's Savi is all set for its world premiere on Saturday. As the film premiere on TV on a satellite channel, what hets bigger is that it will reach every household in every part of the world.

What makes the film around jail break is a must watch for the message that the film carries. Savi's story is deeply rooted with traditional beliefs, yet the film has quite a modern approach.

The story revolves around a small family living in their happy world until one fateful day when Savi's husband gets wrongly framed for murder. While she tries hard to prove him innocent, after no resolution, Savi decides to get him escaped from jail. What follows is the story of a simple housewife emerging into a stronger resilient force to safeguard her family.

Savi's story is inspired by the legend of Sati Savitri, who won her husband's life back from Yamraj. Even though in this Abhinay Deo directorial Savi's actions are wrong, her intent at all times is correct. In fact, Divya's performance is so impactful that you won't know when you start rooting for the character.

Savi had a phenomenal run at the box office. The film emerged to be widely successful. Even on  OTT, Savi ruled the trending charts for weeks. Other than Divya, the thriller also stars Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor in important roles. The film directed by Abhinay Deo was produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under the banners of T-Series and Vishesh Films. Savi had its theatrical release on 31st May.
