The Great Indian Kapil Show: Sunil Grover on if Mashoor Gulati and Gutthi will come back, says, ‘…second season mein kuch aur plans hai’ - Exclusive

MUMBAI: Kapil Sharma and team is known for bringing happiness and laughter to our home. They were last seen on Netflix in The Great Indian Kapil Show. Season 1 of the show ended on a high note with viewers asking for another season. There’s no way such a popular show will go out so easily and so, fulfilling everyone’s wishes, Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek, and the rest of the team are all coming back with season 2.

The season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show will begin from tonight and the viewers are excited for all the upcoming episodes already.

In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Sunil Grover opened up about his previous characters played on the comedy shows and whether there will be another coming in.

Sunil Grover said, “See humlog character banate hai, use popular log bulate hai. Iska koi formula nahi pata ke konsa character log kaise receive karenge. Humlog itna sochte hai ki ye entertaining hai, ise karne mein mazaa aa raha hai, toh agar who log receive karte hai bohot acha, nahi karte toh hum dobara kuch naya try karte hai, kuch alag try karte hai aisa hota hai. So popular character banana ka koi recipe nahi hai humare paas. Mere paas toh nahi hai. Ye zaroor hai ke hum enjoy kise karte hai aur kya lagta hai humko ke kya lagta hai humko ke kisko dekh ke log enjoy karenge Sirf character se nahi hota. I think team effort of creating jokes, writers hote hai, there are creative directors and then after all that I guess jo mohol hota hai, jaise guest aaye hai unka mohol, kaisa mood hai kisi ka, bade saare factors hai. Jaise cricket mein hota hai na pitch pe aaj hawaa aaj idhar ki taraf hai toh humlog dekhte hai ki score kitna kiya but uske peeche reasons kya hai? Bohot saare reasons hote hai. So it’s quite similar. This show’s format in particular.”

When asked if it’s possible for Mashoor Gulati and Gutthi coming back, Sunil Grover said, “Abhi toh mujhe lagta hai second season mein kuch aur plans hai. Aap dekhenge toh pata chalega.”
