MUMBAI: Sandeep Baswana is one talented actor of the television world.
He has been a part of the entertainment industry for several years now.
The talented star has many hit TV shows to his credit like Kkusum, Kuchh Jhuki Palkain, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, Rihaee, Kkavyanjali, Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, Sanjog Se Bani Sangini, Hitler Didi, Udaan, Parvarrish - Season 2, Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, and Dil Jaise Dhadke... Dhadakne Do.
He was last seen in Sony SAB's show Dil Diyaan Gallaan where he played the role of Dr Mandeep Singh Brar aka Maan.
And now, after a short break, Sandeep is once again back in action with his latest show Apollena – Sapnon Ki Unchi Udaan.
The actor will be seen portraying the role Girdhar Shukla in the show which stars Aditi Sharma in the lead role.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Sandeep who spoke about his character, bond with the cast and much more.
What were your thoughts before saying this to this show?
My initial thoughts before saying yes to the show was that it has a very nice concept and I thought that they are up to the challenge and create something great for the audience which is always the primary concern and challenge. It's a nice concept and the team is very nice and they are up for the challenge including the writers, directors and the creative team. I knew they were going to do justice to the show.
The show's concept is different from the regular saas-bahu dramas? How has been the experience so far shooting for this kind of show?
It's nice, also because they are making it a very contemporary show. They are not trying to create unnecessary drama. The makers are trying to keep us in real space. All the actors are told to act in the real space and not try to be overly dramatic. They want the drama to unfold on its own and the story to take its course. They are not trying to push the emotions to the audience. It is a very able team and all are trying to come together and create a show which is not just about one person but to cater to everyone and their every walks of life.
The promo seemed quite heartwarming and the viewers loved your and Aditi Sharma's camaraderie. Tell us about your bond.
I haven't shot much with Aditi till now. In fact, I am shooting with the younger version of Aditi in the show as of now. I have done just one or two scenes together. But we are promoting the show together and taking workshops. She is a very professional actor. When you meet professional actors, you don't need to create a bond. The bond is already there and you come with your own preparations. The more professional an actor, the less we need time to create the bond and the chemistry. Aditi is a very sweet and hard working girl.
