MUMBAI : Aditi Sharma is all set to be back with a bang with her new show Apollena - Sapno Ki Unchi Udaan.
The actress will be portraying the titular role in Gul Khan's upcoming show which will soon hit the small screens.
Well, this is Aditi's second collaboration with Gul Khan's Lion Films. Before Apollena, Aditi played the lead in the same production house's show Yeh Jaadu hai Jinn Ka which was also a huge hit.
As the show is all set to be launched soon, TellyChakkar got in touch with Aditi who spoke about the show, her character and much more.
How excited are you for Apollena?
I am very excited for this show. This is something very different and unusual, so I am looking forward to it as well.
How is it collaborating with 4 Lions Films again after Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka?
This is the first time I am working for Colors. I did Khatron Ke Khiladi for this channel but I haven't done any show for colors. That is different. And for 4 Lions, I would say, it is like homecoming. Yeh Jaadu hai Jinn Ka was a super hit show and it was so different from the usual shows. And now again, I have no doubts about my new show as I know I am in the right hands. Colors have always proven their creativity. They have always tried to bring something new every time. 4 Lions is one of the best production houses I have worked with. I am really excited about the show.
Did you do any preparations before kickstarting the shoot?
So, this girl Apollena is a teen and she is an aspiring astronaut. She wants to become an astronaut and she has been training for that. One has to be physically fit and study a lot to become an astronaut. So I don't have to study (laughs) but I have to be very much physically fit. The physical part is being taken care of by me. I have been working out and I am trying to look like Apollena. I don't have to watch videos of astronauts as my character is not an astronaut yet. She is still training for that.
How has been the shooting experience so far as the genre of the show is very different?
The experience is very different. Just like Yeh Jaadu hai Jinn Ka was shot in a very different way, this is just like that. Of course, this does not have VFX space yet as Apollena is still studying to become an astronaut. She is still in college. So, right now her journey is shown. It's not like the makers are right away going to show her becoming an astronaut.
We have a lot of dream sequences where Apollena wants to become an astronaut. She is visualizing all of that. So that is going to be there. But at the same time, it is a journey on how she becomes an astronaut.
