MUMBAI: Seasoned actor Pallavi Pradhan is winning hearts with her stellar performance as Bhagyashree in Star Plus' popular drama series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
The talented diva is seen as Rajat aka Hitesh Bharadwaj's mother in the popular show.
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently took a leap and new characters are introduced.
Pallavi is playing a pivotal role in the show and the viewers are in love with her character.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Pallavi who spoke about her character, bond with the co-stars and much more about the show.

What made you say yes to this character Bhagyashree? How is it different from the other roles that you have played so far?
Of course it is a wonderful experience to be Bhagyashree. This character is quite different from the rest of my characters because Surili was Bengali plus confused, plus classy. Uttara Devi was out-and-out negative. Albelaa's Saroj was different, she was caring and loving. This is a complete different character. I have done Gujarati theatre for almost 20 years but I have never played a Gujarati character in any of my TV shows. So, for me doing this show has only plus'. First of all it is for Star Plus, plus it a good production house, it is a branded show like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, third it is Film City which is every actor's dream. And here I am playing a comedy character and there are no sarees. So, I am very happy.
Your look in the show is quite subtle yet modern. How much are you enjoying it? Have you given any personal inputs for it?
Shaika Entertainment is very well-planned. The people here know what they are doing. There is no confusion. I was told that I can make this character as per my choice. This character is a complete entertainment package. Our creative head Siddharth has decided the costumes and hairstyles with a very clear mind. I do my makeup on my own so, they have given me a free hand for this character.
It is a beautiful character and I am blessed to be a part of GHKKPM and blessed to be Bhagyashree.
Daily soaps can be taxing at times due to long working hours. You've been doing back-to-back shows. How do you adjust yourself to such hectic schedules and maintain a work-life balance?
Everything here is properly managed by the production house. Very rarely there are long working and waiting hours. This production house is not like that. We are informed well in advance about the scenes and if there is break between our shooting then we just take a stroll in film city and visit other TV show sets and meet our friends who are also shooting nearby. My previous show Albelaa's set is nearby and there are three dogs whom I go and meet. We go for coffee or for shopping. Everything is there nearby the set. So, it's a blessing.
I don't do back-to-back shows. I take at least six months of gap between my two shows. But this time, I took almost one year gap after Woh To Hai Albelaa. There were many reasons behind it. We were waiting for Bahu Humari Rajni Kant season 2 but that didn't happen. I had signed one show but things did not work out. I was getting offers but they didn't excite me as I wanted to do something different. So, after a year, I was offered this show and everything was so perfect. So, God is been kind that my long wait for one year is now compensated.
