MUMBAI : We often spot autorickshaws with funny messages that leave us in splits, but it’s rare for them to acknowledge and appreciate someone, especially a producer. And one such autorickshaw was seen in Mumbai that had a unique message for versatile producer and director Rajan Shahi.
The message read, “Jinda Dil Rajan Shahi," with “Best Multi-Talent Director—Rajan Shahi Sir—Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai." Isn’t it interesting?
Rajan’s journey started as a child actor in 1983 with the film Masoom. In 1994, he began working with director Ravi Rai as an associate director on Sailaab. He worked with him for eight years and assisted him on projects like Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai. He then made his directorial debut with Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi in 1999. The other shows he has directed are Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey, Kareena Kareena, Reth, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat, Shakalaka Boom Boom (summer special episodes), and Saathi Re. In 2007, Rajan launched his production company, Director's Kut Productions, and turned producer with Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai. His production house has produced shows like Chand Chupa Badal Mein (Star Plus), Hawan (Colors), Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Sony TV), Amrit Manthan (Life OK), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus), Tere Sheher Mein (Star Plus), Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke (Star Plus), Aai Kuthe Kay Karte (Star Pravah), Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 (Star Bharat), Woh Toh Hai Albelaa (Star Bharat), Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si (Star Plus), Anupamaa (Star Plus), and the telefilm Teri Meri Love Story (Star Plus).
