In the entertainment industry, staying adaptable to changes is important: Charul Malik

MUMBAI: Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! actor Charul Malik believes that every actor should be adaptable. She expressed her gratitude for her background as a news anchor, which has helped her become more prepared. “In the entertainment industry, staying adaptable to changes is important. Coming from a background that 99.9% of actors don’t share, I feel more prepared because I have experience with live broadcasting, handling emotions, delivering my best performance, and maintaining punctuality,” she said.

“Even when faced with setbacks, I never let them show on my face because I learned to stay composed from my news background. I was already well-prepared and had learned a lot before entering the industry,” she added.

However, she emphasized that in this field, what matters most is skill and talent. “Success often depends on how talented you are and the connections you have, like having a godfather or being related to someone in the industry. Many people work hard on their own, but it’s true that having connections can make a difference,” she said.

“After three years of acting, I’ve gained a lot of clarity. I believe I am better prepared compared to many other actors. The key is that those who get opportunities are ready for them, while others are working on being prepared for future chances,” she added.

As a public figure, Charul understands that she is constantly judged and observed, but she feels there is no need to feel pressured about it.

“It’s our choice to be in this field. If you stay true to yourself, you won’t feel pressure. If you manipulate, pretend, or are fake, then you’ll feel the pressure. I believe that if you’re flowing naturally, you won’t feel pressure. Today, I don’t feel any pressure because I am natural and genuine. I don’t pretend or judge others. I speak honestly and never talk behind people’s backs,” she said.

“I am open and appreciative, whether it’s on social media, wishing someone well, or attending a party. I express my feelings openly and don’t understand how one could hold back. Smart and responsible people judge others, but those who have their own flaws and haven’t achieved much are the ones judging others. If you’re natural, you’ll have zero pressure,” Charul concluded.
