MUMBAI: Jyoti Deshpande, Reliance Industries' Media and Content Head arrived at IFFI 2024 which took place in Goa. Heading some strong projects, it is obvious that Jio Studios had a wonderful time this year.

While the year is coming to an end with the last month still remaining to pass, we still have one more major release coming from Jio Studios that is Baby John, a movie that is produced by the Jawan director Atlee.
First look of the movie made quite a hype but after the teaser was released, while a lot of people appreciated Varun Dhawan’s never-seen-before look, there were many who pointed the movie to be Theri’s remake.
When asked about this to Jyoti Deshpande, she said, “Atlee was the director of Theri, so it’s inspired by Theri. Of course we made it our own. It is not a remake of Theri and I love the way South directors present their heroes. You’ve seen the teaser, you see how differently Varun has been presented. You’ve seen him in Badlapur, so you’ll know that Varun is capable of really coming off his own, if he gets a filmmaker who can presented in a very different style. So I think that we have succeeded with the BGM and with the way it's been presented. And again it's a film with purpose. Jackie as the villain has absolutely hit it out of the park, the music, the BGM. So it's a full package, Christmas is a holiday period, it's an absolute popcorn-entertainer, people who going will have a great time. It’s going to be a proper massy film.”
Baby John stars Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh. The movie is directed by Kalees and will be released on 25th December.
