MUMBAI : Director Mozez Singh recently opened up in an interview about his journey after schooling, his college life in the United States, and the support of his family. Coming from an industrialist family, Mozez shared that he chose not to follow the expected path of joining the family business. Instead, he carved his own path, with his parents fully supporting his decision. “My parents were very supporting and open-minded and they allowed me to do whatever I wanted to and be whoever I wanted to be,” he said.
After completing his studies in America, Mozez moved to New York, where he worked in the music industry for four to five years. Reflecting on this phase, he said, “I was 21 or 22 years old and had an incredible job, and I was working with a record label.” He described his time in the music industry as “fantastic” and a transformative experience. Despite not being originally from Bombay, his family supported his move to the city after his stint in America, further exemplifying their encouragement of his career choices.
Currently, Mozez Singh is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated documentary, ‘Famous’. The film delves into the life of rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, offering an emotional and authentic glimpse into the journey of one of India’s biggest music icons. Produced by Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga, the documentary will soon be available for streaming on OTT platform.
