MUMBAI : Agni, India’s first cinematic exploration of the life and heroism of firefighters, serving as a poignant salute to their fearless spirit, honor, and sacrifices. The film tells the story of a city plagued by a mysterious series of fires, forcing Vitthal (played by Pratik Gandhi) and his brother-in-law, Samit (played by Divyenndu), a brilliant policeman, to reluctantly collaborate in uncovering the source of the escalating crisis. Through gripping narratives and emotionally resonant moments, Agni not only showcases the dramatic stakes of firefighting but also delves into Vitthal's personal battle for respect within his community and family. Agni is now available for streaming on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide.

In an innovative initiative, Pratik Gandhi, renowned for his impactful roles, has taken his portrayal of a firefighter in Prime Video's film Agni beyond the screen by collaborating with the Indian Fire Services. At a grand college event held in Nagpur, Pratik Gandhi and Agni director Rahul Dholakia, launched a special promotional video along with Shri Nitin Gadkari, DG Fire Services Vivek Srivastava, and Director of the National Fire Services College, Nagesh Shinghane aimed at inspiring the youth to join the Indian Fire Services. The promo emphasizes the heroic and selfless work of firefighters, urging young Indians to embrace this noble profession. The launch, attended by a packed auditorium of Indian Fire Services College students, served as a resounding call to action to the nation’s youth.

DG Fire Services Vivek Srivastava praised the initiative, stating, “This campaign, with the support of the makers and the dynamic portrayal by Pratik Gandhi, brings much-needed visibility to the heroism of firefighters. It’s an important step in encouraging more young Indians to join the service.”

With Agni showcasing the unsung heroics of firefighters, this campaign merges entertainment with a significant social purpose, celebrating bravery and encouraging young Indians to embark on a path of service and courage.
