Actors getting replaced in the shows is a very common thing that we have been hearing about for several years now.
Recently, Alisha Parveen who played the role of Rahi in Star Plus' show Anupamaa got replaced just after playing the lead for 2 months.
The news about Alisha's exit came as a huge shocker.
The makers have now roped in Adrija Roy to play Rahi in the drama series.
This is not the first time when an actor has been replaced in the show.

1. Shehzada Dhami
He played the male lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Shehzada's replacement happened overnight. The makers shared their side of story while Shehzada had his own reason to defend himself.
2. Pratiksha Honmukhe
Just like Shehzada, Pratiksha's exit also happened overnight from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and it came as a big shock.
3. Paras Kalnawat
Paras who played Samar in the show Anupamaa was also replaced overnight. The makers accused the actor for breach of contract.
4. Gia Manek
Gia became a household name for Saath Nibhana Saathiya as Gopi bahu. The actress was replaced overnight as she took up Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
5. Ritvik Arora
He played a pivotal role in Star Plus' Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. Reportedly, producer Rajan Shahi said that one of his lead actors was was demanding an exorbitant fee hike and behaving unprofessionally during the pandemic.
6. Late actress Pratyusha Banerjee
The actress who played the role of Anandi in the show became a household name. However, Pratyusha's stardom faded in no time as she was replaced from the show overnight.
7. Karan Singh Grover
The actor was loved for his performance in the hit drama series. However, Karan was let go due to unprofessional behavior. A source associated with the show had informed a leading news portal that Karan had a track record of being unprofessional.
8. Drashti Dhami
The actress, who had bagged the trophy of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 was ousted as the host from the seventh season due to her inability to captivate the audiences alongside co-host Ranvir Shorey.
9. Rishabh Sinha
It was Rishabh's debut show and things were ruined when the makers showed him the door. The actor, who played Ayaan was served a legal notice by the channel and production house as despite being bound by an exclusive contract with the channel, he had taken up another offer.
10. Gulki Joshi
The actress had joined the cast of Piya Rangrezz after the leap and she was suddenly removed from the show. The production house cited a lack of chemistry between her and the male lead. The abrupt decision came as a shock to Gulki as well.
