“That success definitely helps in mounting a project—it’s part of the business model,” Rajkummar explained. “Films like Bhool Chuk Maaf, Stree, and Stree 2 have helped build confidence among filmmakers. They now believe I can shoulder a film like Maalik. That said, the box office is not my domain. My responsibility is to bring honesty to the character, portray it sincerely, and ensure it resonates with the audience.”
He added, “What truly matters is that the film should generate excitement, and judging by the buzz around Maalik’s trailer, we’re off to a promising start.”
