MUMBAI: Bigg Boss 19 has officially begun, and after a glitzy, entertainment-packed premiere, viewers are geared up for their yearly dose of drama and thrill.
Among the contestants this season is Shehbaz Badesha. You might have seen him in Bigg Boss 13 wherein he left everyone including Salman Khan in splits with his innocence and sense of humor. The buzz around his entry was long before the premiere episode. And in an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Shehbaz spoke about nepotism and if his sister Shehnaaz used her influence to get him placed in Bigg Boss 19.

Shehbaz Badesha’s sister, Shehnaaz Gill, shares a warm camaraderie with the host of Bigg Boss, Salman Khan. In fact, Salman even gave Shehnaaz a big break in his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Considering their bond, there was a lot of chatter online suggesting that Shehnaaz may have used her influence to help her brother bag Bigg Boss 19.
When Shehbaz was asked about the same and whether nepotism played a role, he exclusively told Tellychakkar, "Nai aisa kuch nai hai. Usne recommend karna hota toh saath saal pehle hi kar deti. Toh mai itna tadpu kyu. Shehnaaz ke recommend karne se Bigg Boss waale thode hi le lege. Yeh meri kismat thi. Bhagwan ne jaisa chaha waise hi mujhe mauka mila. Jiski kismat mey jaisa likha hai, woh hona hi hai."
(No, that’s not true. If Shehnaaz had to recommend me, she would have done it seven years ago, I wouldn’t have had to wait this long. The Bigg Boss team doesn’t cast someone just on her recommendation. This was purely my fate, and it happened only because the right time had come.)
