MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor, widely celebrated as the “Queen of Indian Television,” has once again captured the spotlight — this time by stepping in front of the camera. The powerhouse producer, joint managing director and creative head of Balaji Telefilms, recently surprised fans by sharing a video of her acting debut in an advertisement, where she effortlessly showcased her hidden talent.
For decades, Ekta has been a trendsetter in the entertainment industry, redefining Indian television with cult classics such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
Her shows not only revolutionised family dramas but also catapulted countless actors into stardom. She later expanded into films with Balaji Motion Pictures and played a pivotal role in shaping India’s OTT landscape through ALTBalaji, although she has since stepped away from the platform.
