MUMBAI: Alpha Release Postponed: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s Spy Thriller to Now Hit Cinemas in April 2026.
Alpha (2025), one of the most awaited films from the YRF Spy Universe, is gearing up to bring a powerful new chapter to the franchise this time led by women. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as elite intelligence operatives thrust into a high-stakes world of espionage, deception, and global conspiracies.
Packed with adrenaline-fuelled action, emotional depth, and a captivating storyline, Alpha aims to redefine the spy-action genre with its fresh female-led perspective.
The film also features Bobby Deol in a pivotal role as the antagonist, adding further intrigue and intensity to the narrative.
Originally slated for a Christmas 2025 release, the film’s premiere has now been pushed to 16th April 2026. While fans may have to wait a little longer, the delay only heightens anticipation for what promises to be one of the most ambitious cinematic events of 2026.
