MUMBAI: Following the success and widespread acclaim of Vadh, its highly anticipated spiritual sequel, Vadh 2, written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, is set to make a grand debut at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, under the prestigious Gala Premiere Section. This gripping spiritual sequel, led by powerhouse performers Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, introduces a completely new storyline with fresh characters and intricate dilemmas, while retaining the emotional intensity and depth that made Vadh so memorable.
Vadh was showcased at IFFI Goa in 2023 under Indian Panorama, where the makers officially announced Vadh 2. Now, with Vadh 2 set to premiere at IFFI Goa under Gala Premiere Section in 2025, the journey comes full circle, returning to the very platform where the next chapter was first unveiled.
Sanjay Mishra, director Jaspal Singh Sandhu, and producer Ankur Garg made a stunning appearance on the red carpet of the 56th IFFI as they arrived for the Gala Premiere of their eagerly awaited film Vadh 2. Known for their acclaimed performances in the original Vadh (2022), the team were all smiles as they posed for the cameras, reflecting the excitement surrounding the sequel.
At the red carpet, when Sanjay Mishra was asked, There are so many sequels we’ve seen you in like dhamaal, golmaal as you’ve been part of it. Now this is the first film in which you are the lead actor and this movie’s sequel is being made so how do you feel about it? Replying to this, he said, "it’s a beautiful sequel. I think it is a very sensitive and unique film. It feels good that others also want to see your work."
Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, Vadh 2 marks a return to its roots at IFFI, where the precursor Vadh was first announced in 2023. On the red carpet, Mishra, Sandhu, and Garg expressed their heartfelt gratitude to fans and supporters, reminiscing about the journey from the original film to this milestone premiere.
