MUMBAI: Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor share a cinematic chemistry that remains a favourite among audiences, thanks to successful films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, and Tamasha.
Now, it appears that Deepika herself is open to returning to the screen with Ranbir, following a highly enthusiastic fan request.

The moment came via a social media reel created by a user named Sonalika Puri, who made a passionate, yet humorous, appeal to producers and directors. She specifically urged them to pair the duo in a film, ideally a romantic comedy.
The fan's message directly addressed the filmmaking fraternity: "This is a humble appeal to all directors and producers: can you please cast Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in a film together?
Preferably a rom-com? You all keep saying that movies aren't making money and people aren't coming to theatres. Just cast them together and see what happens."
She further emphasised the buzz their collaboration generates, arguing that if their casual public appearances cause a stir, the impact of their on-screen reunion would be immense.
She continued, "The couple whose public appearances create so much buzz, just imagine what will happen if they come back on screen together! Oh God, I can't even stop smiling thinking about it! Write a good script and cast both of them, because they're incredibly talented and look so beautiful together."
The video quickly went viral, and much to the excitement of fans, Deepika Padukone herself noticed the post and "liked" the reel.
This subtle but significant reaction has been widely interpreted by fans and media as a sign that the actress is certainly keen on collaborating with Ranbir again, provided the right project and script materialise.
On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy with projects like Love & War (directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali), which also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and the highly anticipated Ramayana duology.
Meanwhile, Deepika is engaged with the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King and director Atlee's project AA22xA6, alongside Allu Arjun.
