I don’t plan to work with Sahara One anymore: Giriraj Kabra

Actor Giriraj Kabra, better known as Bittu of Sahara One’s Piya Ka Ghar Pyara Lage (Entertainment Hub), was replaced by Raj Singh overnight. Resultantly, Giriraj is pretty agitated with this sudden turn of events. As a matter of fact, what has irked the actor most is about him being called a poor performer. “I’ve worked on the show for two and a half years and had I been a poor performer, the channel should have noticed it earlier. They did not realize that by releasing such a statement they are actually toying with my career.” The actor was given a termination letter on 26 July after informing him about his replacement on 23 July, 2013. “It all happened suddenly. In fact, my contract stated that I would have to give the production two months notice if I plan to leave and they would have to do the same if they ever want me to leave. But, I wasn’t even given two months time though the production has been very nice to me and compensated for the same.” Talking about his replacement Raj Singh, Giriraj states, “Their reason of replacing me with a new actor did not make sense to me. He isn’t a big face either.” So will he ever work with the same production house or the channel? “No, I do not plan to work with the channel anymore; after all they have terminated me. So, I don’t see them thinking of roping me in any show again in the future. But, I wouldn’t mind working with the production house as they have always been nice to me,” he answers. How did his once upon a co-star Sanjeeda Sheikh react to him being replaced? “She was completely shocked,” the actor quips. What’s next for Giriraj? “I plan to rest for a month after which I will start looking out for work,” he answers. We wish you luck Giriraj!!!
