Rishi Kapoor praises Imran Khan for his Tayyab Ali track in OUATIMD

Those music aficionados who loved the Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh enacted track Tayyab Ali Jaan Ki Dushman.. from the 1977 made Manmohan Desai film Amar Akbar Anthony must be curious to see how the same song would have been enacted by Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in Balaji Motion Pictures’ Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara (OUATIMD). Imran, who unlike most other actors, is not comfortable doing a song and dance sequence feels that this is his career’s most difficult song while co-star Sonakshi gives him thumbs up for his cool dance moves. This song that’s reinvented and reintroduced for the new generation has a sense of humour and seems like the efforts of Imran and Sonakshi are paying off. But will it match Rishi-Neetu Kapoor’s chemistry? Our guess is as good as yours! But when Kapoor praised Imran for the same song, his joy knew no bounds. It so happened that recently after completing the dubbing for OUATIMD, when Imran was stepping out of BR Studios, he bumped into Kapoor. Imran was keen to know the Bobby actor's reaction to his Tayyab Ali track. To his utmost surprise he saw Kapoor praising him for how he performed in the track. He went on to say that he’d never imagined that his hit tune would be re-engineered in such a peppy manner. Observed an excited Imran, “I was worried about Chintuji's reaction. Tayyab Ali is an iconic song and reworking that comes with a lot of responsibility. To my relief, he liked the song and his compliment means a lot to me as I can’t ask for a better stamp of validation.”
