In conversation with Vindhya Tiwari from Mrs Pammi Pyarelal

Long-legged beauty Vindhya Tiwari, better known as Gayatri of Colors’ Mrs Pammi Pyarelal (Playtime Creations) is currently seen playing a very interesting role in the show. Though Gayatri belongs to a Maharastrian family, she speaks fluently in Urdu as she has spent her childhood in Lucknow. And this prompts Vindhya to converse only in Urdu on the sets so that she gets the dialect right. Urdu is not an easy language to grasp and the actress is putting in a lot of effort to learn the language. “When I learnt about this character, I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy job. However, I took up the challenge and started working towards it. I started by talking to everybody in Urdu. In fact, initially my mom used to find it weird when I used to address her as ‘Ammi Jaan’, but she has got used to it now.” If this is not all, the actress also asked her friends and her gym instructor to converse with her only in Urdu. “I told them that I would talk to them only in Urdu and they would have to do the same. I have been lucky as all the people around me have started talking with me in Urdu.” In fact the production guys of her show talk to her in Urdu, as she informs, “All my spot dadas and make-up men talk to me in Urdu now (giggles).”
