Aarti Chhabria's special Independence Day plans

Seems like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has given Aarti Chhabria’s career some much needed impetus. The pretty actress, whose stint in the dance reality show was cut short by a freak injury, is currently in the US rubbing shoulders with the names that matter in the social dos there. And unlike Mallika Sherawat, Aarti is making sure that she is attending the right events. With I-day just around the corner, she has not just managed an invite as the ‘Grand Marshall’ for I-day celebration in New York but is also set to hoist the tricolor on 15 August. Aarti had this to say. “As actors we do a lot of events, some are done for professional reasons and some are to tap PR opportunities. But this one’s straight from the heart and it’s rare you get a chance like this. The best part is it’s my dad’s birthday on 15th August and my entire family will be with me in US to experience this proud moment.” She further added, “I will take this opportunity to represent the cause and turmoil of those thousands of people in Uttarakhand and will create awareness for the same.” Now that’s a noble gesture.
