The show will be starting from June 5 in the 9.30pm time slot. Elaborating on her stint she states, “Well I can’t reveal much about my character or the show but I can tell you that it’s an office set up which is the story of Riya and Rohan (Akshay Dongre). There are many other characters in show.” This is her only serial in television but the bubbly actress has joined theatre and soon she is coming up with a play. “I’m doing a Hinglish play called Aastha. I play the main protagonist in the story. It’s a dark play and nowhere close to comedy. It is about relationship, love and life and very extreme from my on- screen character of Riya,” she chirps. Aren’t you insecure about your career? “Well presently I’m a content actor who has got the opportunity to play two extreme characters at same time. In the morning I’m this bubbly chirpy girl Riya and in the evening I’m this serious girl Aastha dealing with life,” she concludes. Her play Aastha will be performed on 24 and 25 of this month at NCPA. So for now Shweta is happy with her extreme makeovers.
