Aasiya Kazi finds a best friend in Akanksha Singh

Aasiya Kazi and Akanksha Singh
Aasiya Kazi, better known as the chulbuli Rukku of Colors’ Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 (Sunshine Productions), surely did not got enough time to connect with the audiences, but she has become a favourite on the sets. In fact, Aasiya has become best of friends with the female lead of the show Akanksha Singh, aka the lovable Megha. Since the ladies can hardly stay apart from each other, they keep messaging each other when not on the sets. “Yes, we have become very close friends; we shop, watch movies and have loads of fun together,” says the lovely Aasiya. Narrating how the duo became friends, the actress avers, “I remember on my first day on the sets, I got talking with Akanksha and on the third day we were like best of friends. It’s been just a month since I met her but it feels like we can hardly stay without each other.” But then the show goes off-air on 13 September 2013. Does this mean their friendship will come to a halt too? “Not all. Three people I’d always want to be in touch with are Akanksha, Kunal (Karan Kapoor) and Bharti Patil. I share a great bond with all of them. And whoever said two actresses cannot be good friends should watch me and Akanksha together,” Aasiya observes. Will you miss the show, we asked her. “Somewhere we knew that the show was to go off-air. It’s only that we did not know that it would happen so soon. The show was doing good TRP wise post-the revamp, but we as actors can’t do much about it. So, yes I will miss it!" quips the girl. We hope Aasiya and Akanksha remain the best of friends forever!
