Ashish Kaul in the main lead

Ashish Kaul, who was last seen in Sony's Kkusum, is back on television but this time he is not an uncle, a father or a brother. After eight years the actor has bagged a leading role in Raja Mukherjee's Kisi Ki Nazar Na Lage on Doordarshan. Earlier he had played a lead in Kahaani Saat Phero Ki. "I'm very happy to bag a lead role in Raja's serial. My character name in the show is Aniruddh and I'm really looking forward for the show to go on air," says Ashish. Kisi Ki Nazar… is on similar lines of the film Hum Apke Hai Kaun. "In the show I like a girl who is the daughter of my driver. We love each other but due to some circumstances she had to marry my elder brother. This is going to be a big twist in the tale," he says. "When she is married to my brother we keep our feelings a secret," he adds. "We are three brothers in the show. Just before the father dies the will is transferred to the bahu's name. Now my brother decides to divorce his wife and I protect her by marrying her and helping her to come back to the house," he discloses. Ashish had been working on his looks after getting the chance to play the lead. "I have been busy sweating it out and toning my body for the show. I have also redone my hair and wardrobe," he concludes. Currently, Ashish Kaul is doing Rakhi on Zee and Kumkum on Star Plus. Kisi Ki Nazar…will be starting from 5 May, Monday to Friday at 1:00 pm, afternoon slot. Is it a little late for Ashish to join the race of heroes? We'll soon know.
