Konkona Sen Sharma to officiate as jury of Mumbai Film Festival

The jury for the Mumbai Film Festival has been announced. Among a host of foreign film dignitaries who have been chosen as jury members of the 15th Mumbai Film Festival, stands the name of our very own Konkona Sen Sharma. The others who will part of the jury include director Bruce Beresford, French actress Nathalie Baye, Japanese actor-director Masato Harada and Iranian director Asghar Farhadi will be on the jury. Beresford, whose 1989 film Driving Miss Daisy had won the Academy Award for the Best Film, will head the international competition jury. Konkona, known for her roles in Mr and Mrs Iyer, Omkara and Ek Thi Daayan, will be a part of this jury along with the French actress Baye and Harada, known for his film The Last Samurai. Academy Award Farhadi will head the India Gold 2013 competition section jury as its president while British actor-director Waris Hussein of Doctor Who and Passage to India fame; Australian film editor Jill Bilcock and executive director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Roger Garcia will join Farhadi in the jury. The MFF will be held from 17 to 24 October (2013) at the Metro Cinema and Liberty Cinemas as the main festival venues and Cinemax in Andheri.
