There was a lot of speculation that Karan Kundra, whose debut Hindi film Horror Story released today, would be a part of the ongoing season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Colors) that will come to an end this weekend.
His name was talked about a lot before the initial list of probables and it was also thought that since he is busy with the above Vikram Bhatt production and also his soon to be released Punjabi flicks, Karan might make a mid season entry via a wild card. But nothing as such happened. On the contrary, Karan returned with the season three of his hit youth show Gumrah on Channel V.
In our eagerness, we decided to quiz Karan about the same when we caught up with him during the promotions of Horror Story. “Yaar, I don’t have the time. Should I do films or shake a leg on TV? On a more serious note if I was a very good dancer I could have just rehearsed for an hour and that would have been enough. But here I am such a bad dancer, that it would have taken me around six hours to get the same level of perfection,” he observed.
“I just don’t have the time for after Horror Story since I have two back-to-back Punjabi films up for release as well. This will require extensive world tours as part of the film’s promotions. In this kind of scenario should I tell the three distinguished judges (Karan, Madhuri and Remo) that I need a three month sabbatical? I did Gumrah for we could record the episodes well in advance,” he added.
Before winding up, Karan quipped, “If I had dates, I would have preferred to spend three months in the Bigg Boss house. Unfortunately, I don’t have that liberty and I have to run around.”
