Rushiraj Pawar excited to play "younger" Akshay Kumar in Boss

Rushiraj Pawar
Rushiraj Pawar who stormed into the hearts of audiences as the young Chandragupta Maurya on Imagine TV is excited about his first commercial Hindi cinema, Boss starring Akshay Kumar. The talented lad will essay younger Akshay Kumar in the movie. Says Rushi, “It was an amazing experience being part of the movie Boss. I have never had such an exuberant atmosphere before. I, in fact, made friends with the senior and veteran actors Danny sir (Denzongpa) and Mithun sir (Chakraborthy). The movie opens with my scene, and I will be seen in flashback sequences too.” He adds, “The best part is that I got to perform amazing stunts, something that I have never done before for TV even as Maurya. I have 3 action sequences and have given it my best. I got to learn from Mr. Anal Arasu, the Stunt Director from Chennai who is in charge of the stunts in the movie. He was amazing and I learnt a lot from him. I owe a lot to the writers of the movie Sajid and Farhad Samji, as they were the ones who cast me in the film. The same goes to the Director Anthony D’Souza, as I learnt a lot from him about the work technicalities. Overall it was an eventful shoot experience for my 20-25 minutes of screen space in the movie.” The gifted boy who did quite a few stunning stunt sequences is happy about the way he performed them. “Aah, they were so engrossing. My opening scene is when I save the Big Boss, played by Danny from few goons. And this is where I get into the good books of the Big Boss and he gives me the name of Boss. The fights by Anal Arasu demanded quite a lot of energy and power, and after every day’s shoot, I would go to the hotel to just crash into my bed. Every part of my body would pain, but that also gave me a satisfied feeling as an actor.” Ask him about his expectations, now that the release date (16 October 2013) nears closer and the confident Rushiraj avers, “I am sure the movie will do good business. It should surely cross the 100 crore mark.” On future plans of making it big in Bollywood, he says, “Well, I have not taken up anything. I am waiting for reactions of the industry post the release of this movie.” All the best, Rushiraj!!!
