Celebs do not always have it easy

It is always easy to say, ‘Wow, look at these celebrities. They have so many fans. They are always hounded by people and get the best treatment wherever they go!” Yes, that’s the upside of being a celeb alright. And according to me, rightly so, because this is what a celebrity earns besides name, fame and awards, love and good wishes from so many people. But yes, sometimes this love is so much that we really have to think how to handle these fans. Not all are the same but yes we do come across fans who we really don't know what to make of.

I do get lot of calls from my fans. I call them my well wishers and I try and attend to all of them. I even reply to them via mail and sms. There was one particular well wisher who would call me every day after I got married to Gauri. She would call anytime and ask me how could I marry Gauri when she was waiting for me! And I would be stumped wondering how to tackle her questions. Initially, I would just hang up but then the number of calls went on increasing and one day she even told me she would commit suicide if I didn’t marry her. Obviously, all this was getting out of hand. And I tried to convince her and make her understand but she won't budge. Finally, I made Gauri speak to her and make her understand but she would tell her it’s ok if Hiten had married her but she should let her marry him too and that we all could stay happily together! Finally, I had to my friend’s brother who is a cop to speak to her. He spoke to her and made her understand and from that day, the calls finally stopped. We all love our fans but sometimes they can just get too demanding or unrealistic and that’s when you realize you pay a price too for being a celebrity!
