Moneylender to eye Ratan's honour in Star Plus' Veera

Beyond Dreams Productions’ Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera on Star Plus, which is based on a village in Punjab, is all set to showcase the troubles the innocent farmers face while selling off their crops. And when it comes being a single woman, the troubles double. Ratan (Sneha Wagh), who has been taking care of her fields single-handedly after her husband’s Sampoorn (Sudhangshu Pandey) disappearance, will be in for a tough time as she tries to sell off her crops. The single mother who has been efficiently coping up with her children on one hand and her field on the other will be ignored by the buyers because of her association with Nihal (Kapil Nirmal). The buyers would actually refuse to buy any crop from anyone in the village. As a source informs us, “Nihal had been helping Ratan and the villagers in the fields by way of financial help and also fertilisers to yield better results. And with the secret of Nihal being responsible of Sampoorn death getting out, the buyers are irked by his presence and will thus refuse to buy crops from his village.” The poor woman Ratan will be left all shattered with this sudden decision. She will also feel guilty that because of Nihal, the entire lot of villagers has to suffer. Soon, a rich money lender will come to her rescue; he will agree to buy her goods at a handsome price and promise to be by her side and help her in her times of trouble. Ratan will be glad to find someone who is ready to help her, but, in the bargain, will oversee his ulterior motive. “He will actually want to come close to Ratan and thus will act sweet with her,” our source adds.
