Rajesh Puri graced with Lifetime Achievement Award

Veteran actor, Rajesh Puri recently was awarded with Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution as an actor in Television, Theatre and Films by Education Today Foundation. Expressing his joy, the actor said, “I started my career with Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, a film in 1983. With around 200 plays with 5000 performances, 70 serials and 130 films including regional I feel nice to have gathered an experience of 30 years.” Shedding some light on his journey in this industry…the actor added, “I feel there have been a lot of changes in this industry…for good. Today even if you celebrate your birthday you are spoken about! There is no doubt about that.” “On the flipside, if I am to talk about draw backs, I think there are so many daily soaps which work cut to cut and have less time to ideate creatively. Focus on production values and scripting has declined. Earlier, producers and directors would take the pain to sit, ponder and take time, almost 3-4 days to bring out one single episode.” Rajesh believes and completely promotes the fact that he adores and loves being an actor.
