Sonakshi Sinha seems to be upping the ante at the brand endorsement front. And with the festive season around the corner and also her eagerly awaited films like R...Rajkumar and Bullet Raja lined up to the marquee, Shotgun’s (Shatrughan Sinha) daughter is juggling furiously between action sequences on one hand and donning the demure Indian ethnic look on the other. Yesterday, Sonakshi became the Cover Girl for Wedding Affair magazine’s December–January edition, shot by ace photographer Gaurav C. Bhatt. One will see Sonakshi sizzling as a bride in an exquisite ensemble designed Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anita Dongre and others. In fact, Sonakshi's personal stylist Sachi personally visited the Santacruz showroom of TBZ-The Original, the 150 year old brand that originated in Mumbai's Zaveri bazaar and has become a national brand today, to source the jewellery.
Sonakshi said, "My parents will be proud to see me in this bridal avatar in real life after playing an action diva in the reel life. Also, the exquisite traditional jewellery goes well with Manish Malhotra’s designs and adds to my persona of an essentially Indian girl. I am sure these photographs of mine will become an instant hit with my fans."
During the shoot, the time conscious Sonakshi was her usual professional no-nonsense version. She is conscious of the fact that she has to do a lot of catching up with her peers such as Katrina, Kareena and Deepika in terms of brand endorsement deals. And her brand managers have asked her to get there in a fast and furious way. And from the looks of it, the pretty Sonakshi surely seems to be treading the right path.
