Out of thousands of youngsters who come to the maximum city everyday to fulfill their dreams of becoming an actor, only a few manage to make it big. One such young guy is actor Pushkar Goggiaa who can be currently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
Speaking of his journey, the young lad says, “For the last two years, I had been doing print ads in Delhi post which I moved to TV commercials and also did some short films. Having worked with almost all the big brands, I had nothing much to do there. So I came to Mumbai early this year and started my journey in the TV industry.”
“Within 15 days of my coming over to this metropolis, I bagged a cameo in Anamika (Sony TV) and soon got a chance to work with Balaji Telefilms for their show Dharamshetra that was supposed to be launched in the Epic channel. But since the channel hasn’t yet taken off, I was left out of work. Resultantly, I auditioned for Nandini and thankfully got selected,” Pushkar adds.
The actor feels that he is lucky that he got a chance to get work so soon and thanks the Almighty for everything. “The day I reached Mumbai, I visited Siddhivinayak, Haji Ali, Mahalaxmi and all other religious places. I guess that worked in my favour,” he laughs.
Siddharth Pandey, the character he is playing in the show, is a graduate who is on the lookout for work and feels frustrated by the regular taunts of his father. Talking on the same, he further adds, “Even though he is a mechanical engineer, he is yet to get a job offer. I think the youth of India will relate to the character a lot as most of them are unsatisfied with their jobs given any moment. As a result of his unemployment, Siddharth has become negative in nature and is completely against the system and feels that everyone in the country is very selfish.”
Quizzed whether he relates to the character or not, Pushkar smilingly observes, “Yes, quite a lot. I have done my MBA and was working in a multinational company in Delhi, but my family wanted me to get into the family business. After sometime when I did, they did not want to listen to my suggestions and wanted me to only follow the tried and tested formulas of the business. So the frustration did creep in that time. Also when I started modeling, my relatives were apprehensive. I hope you understand my feeling of irritation then.”
Being so good looking, didn’t he want to start his career as a lead? “Of course, everyone wants to do that, but then I also feel that climbing the ladder slowly always helps. You need to enjoy the struggle to be able to relish success. I am a very positive person and know that if you are good at your work, you will definitely reach the top,” Pushkar maintains.
With positive responses flowing in continuously for the show, Pushkar feels lucky to be a part of the project. “The entire team is so supportive and we bond really well. There are seniors in the show who are always ready to help you and of course I am thankful to my directors Pawan Sir and Seema Ma’am who are bringing the best out of us,” he signs off.
We wish this young guy a great future ahead.
