Actor Avinash Sachdev aspires to make a shift from acting to direction

Avinash Sachdev has achieved a huge fan-following as an actor. After securing his first television role in the soap opera Karam Apna Apna (Star Plus) in 2006, he came into the limelight with Season 1 and 2 of Choti Bahu (Zee TV). Currently cast in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Baar Phir as Shlok Agnihotri, the skilful actor claims that he never wanted to be an actor. So what drove him towards acting? “I always wanted to become a director. In fact, I started my career as an assistant director and was quite driven to pursue my goal. But as it is always said, to be a successful director, one has to know the minute details of acting and vice-versa. Not that it was necessary to take up acting but I got into acting and felt that I should pick it up to know more about the skill and industry,” he answered. However, the actor confirmed to Tellychakkar.com that he will soon make a shift towards achieving his goal of directing. “I am keen on directing films and am scripting and also planning a lot of other things,” he quipped. We have been seeing small screen actors making a shift to the big screen, but then direction is a bit unusual… To this, he answered, “As an actor I want to act and entertain my fans be it through the plays, films or serials; the medium is irrespective. I always wanted to be a director and I am striving hard towards being one.” As they say, only if you dream, you will see it happening, Avinash.
