In spite of having a bad throat, evergreen actor Anil Kapoor recently launched a game version of his ongoing fiction show on Colors, 24 in an open venue.
While addressing the press and people at large (aam aadmi), the actor revealed the secret of his long lasting career. “The longevity of my career has been that I learn a lot from youngsters. The 24 team has people who are less than 25 years of age but have lots of passion and energy.”
Talking about youngsters, the Mr India actor went on to talk about what his daughter (and actress) Sonam Kapoor had to say about this three-week old show. “Sonam came up to me and said ‘Dad I haven’t received so many compliments or tweets for any of your of films what this show has garnered’.”
He also confessed that he has never worked this hard in his career, “It’s been 36 years that I am in this industry but I have never worked this hard. Neither has this kind of a show happened in India. Every person whom I have met after the launch of 24 has confessed that he hasn’t seen such a show ever. The show is creating a kind of magic in the country.”
“When I recently met the Walt Disney people, they told me that they were at Cannes where they met the Indian channel representatives who were there to hunt for a show similar to 24 for their channels. This is the impact of the show,” he went on to relate.
All said and done, the channel has failed to garner the much-needed TVTs, we reminded Anil.
“I am an actor and believe in acting. As far as the numbers are concerned, they will increase as more and more people will join in to watch the show. But the kind of show that we have, there is no measurement for it,” the slim and smart actor observed.
We wish you luck Anil!!!
