The two first met on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's <em>Kaahin Kissi Roz</em>.
Says Mazhar, “It was a registered marriage in Kolkata. It was a close-knit family affair. This was an impromptu decision we took and after seeing each other for many years we decided to get married. I am still in Kolkata right now.”

Mazhar is currently seen in Rakt Sambandh, while Mouli did a cameo on Colors’ Laagi Tujhse Lagan.
