A R Rahman gets a street named after him in Canada

Music maestro A R Rahman has added another feather to his cap. No, it’s not about any of his new musical accomplishment. Then! The well-known music director has got a street named after him in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The board bearing the street's name reads 'Allah-Rakha Rahman street'. The ace composer has won two Academy Awards, an equal number of Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, fifteen Filmfare Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South in addition to numerous other awards and nominations. But Rahman is not the first film personality who has been honoured is such a manner. Earlier last year, Switzerland's Jungfrau Railways named one of their mountain trains after the legendary Yash Chopra.
