I also have an ego like Duryodhan: Arpit Ranka

As reported earlier, model turned actor Arpit Ranka has been finalized to play the role of Duryodhan in Star Plus’ Mahabharat. Arpit who was the winner of ‘Best Body’ at Gladrags few years ago is all set to make a lasting impression on Television with the epic produced by Swastik Productions. "After winning the best body title in Gladrags I have done modeling and then I did around 10 Tamil and Telegu films. When I got the role of Duryodhan I was a little reluctant as I didn't want to do television at that point of time. But after meeting Siddharth Kumar Tewary (producer) and the creative team I got to know the grandeur of this show and now I feel lucky to be selected for Duryodhan." Arpit thinks Duryodhan is the most powerful character of Mahabharat and he also feels that he has certain qualities of Duryodhan. "I think whatever Duryodhan has done there is a strong reason to back his actions. Maybe I would have reacted the same way like on a personal level too. I have to admit that I also have an ego just like Duryodhan. So I am enjoying playing this character." Arpit who is has a great body, has grown long hair to suit the perfect look of Duryodhan. Arpit is hopeful that his first venture on television is going to be a grand one.
