Roshan Garry Bhinder launches production house in memory of her late husband

Garry Bhinder was a name that was unknown to viewers. But to Ekta Kapoor and her band of actors Garry was one of their dearest pals. He had directed some of Ekta's biggest serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kis Des mein hai mera dil, and was on board Kahaani Hamaraay Mahaabhaarat Ki when he was diagnosed with cancer and later succumbed to it. Now his wife Roshan has launched a production house in his memory titled Rayyaan which means gate of heaven in Hebrew. Talking of her new business venture Roshan says, “Rayyaan has been born in the loving memory of my late husband Garry. And the first event that I am doing under this banner is called Tinashe. This is one of the biggest events people will get to see on New Year’s eve. It is a ground event in Versova and has some of TV’s biggest actors performing. Harshad Chopda who was very close to Garry, Shardul Pandit, Prerna Wanvari, Bharat Chawda, Aasiya Kazi, Sriti Jha, Abigail, Vishal Singh are some of the stars who have been confirmed for the same.” Rayyaan will focus on corporate events, documentaries, soaps and reality shows. Last year Indiantelevision instituted an award called ‘Garry Bhinder young director award’ in the name of the late director which was won by Imitiaz Ali.
