I feel really nice when elder people appreciate my acting skills in Lapataganj - Shubhangi Gokhale

Shubhangi Gokhale has gained quite a lot of popularity essaying the role of Mishri Mausi in SAB TV’s popular show Lapataganj…Ek Baar Phir (Garima Productions). The talented Marathi actress talks about her experience with the show and how it feels to be playing an UP’ite. She said, “As an actor it is quite a challenge to essay this kind of a role. But when I heard the concept, I was very pleased to essay Mausiji. I mean, we all know about the morals in life but Lapataganj reminds people of these philosophies and how it is relevant to people in real life. I appreciate the fact that viewers like our show, so much so that we are going strong with Season 2.” Shubhangi, who has earlier acted in movies such as Hey Ram and Detective Naani, informs us that she does not believe in doing loud comedy. “I am comfortable with all genres except loud comedy. Doing comedy-drama is my forte and my fans appreciate me for my acting skills. Leaving the younger generation aside I feel really nice when elder people appreciate me for my acting skills in Lapataganj.” She went on to add, “In future, I will surprise viewers with my next role to such an extent that they would not be able to recognize me as Mishri Mausi any longer. And I am confident that I will generate a fan following for that character too.” Talking about her acting skills, she spoke to us on a lighter note of how she shares her off screen chemistry best with Biji Pandey aka Abbas Khan. “Abbas is everyone’s apple of the eye,” she delightfully stated.
