The dashing actor gets chatty with Tellychakkar.com as he reveals his fitness secrets. Personal fitness mantra? Over the time I have realized that one needs to have a healthy mind to have a healthy body. Being happy and thinking good is one of my topmost priorities. As of today, the entire concept of ‘being healthy means to gym five times a week’ is taken very wrongly. Personal diet mantra? I eat when I am hungry and not when I feel like having something. Additionally, I tend eating smaller meals so that I do not get into the food coma zone. Are you a foodie? Yes I am. This hard core Punjabi foodie eats parathas every day. Exercise routine? I gym three to four times a day and focus on strength building than body building. Are you a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian? I am a strict non-vegetarian. Favourite cuisine? I personally feel that home food is comfort food. Apart from that I like eating continental food. Favourite dish… I have a fetish for homemade parathas. I also love eating grilled fish with lemon butter sauce when I am out of home. A must on your breakfast table? Eggs are a must on my breakfast table. I feel consuming proteins is an excellent way to start your day. Sugar or sugar-free tea/coffee… I used to drink tea with milk but have recently started drinking green tea after I heard Salman Khan suggest this on television. Lunch generally consists of? My lunch consists of roti, chicken and green vegetables. People generally do not like eating green vegetables but I for one love eating karela (Bitter gourd), dudhi (gourd) and other green vegetables. Dinner generally consists of? My dinner is similar to my lunch. I am not a rice eater. Dessert delights? I am one pregnant woman when it comes to eating dessert (laughs). I love eating chocolates, cakes, gulab jamuns, pedas amongst other sweets. My favourite dish is kalakand from Delhi. The only sweet dish I do not like is petha, a specialty of Agra. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic). I love drinking fresh juices as I think they are the best substitute to water. My favourite drink (alcoholic). I drink very rarely; it's more like being a non-alcoholic. Most unusual dish I have tasted? I had tasted squids but it was more like chewing a gum. Experiment with food… I play very safe when it comes to experimenting dishes. When I order a dish, I need to know what ingredients have been put in it. On the streets, I love to have… When in Delhi, I love eating paani-puri, dahi tikka, aloo chaat and all the other dishes so much that I go on an eating spree. The only dishes I do not like eating is sev puri and bhel puri. Do you cook? No. Fitness tip? Eat healthy and think good to feel alive. Consuming protein shakes alone does not make a good body.
