UTV Stars to unveil hand impression of Jeetendra

Following Asha Parekh, UTV Stars is gearing up to pay tribute to veteran actor Jeetendra by unveiling his hand impression on 18 December. This is being done to immortalise his legacy and create a landmark that his fans can cherish. The tile bearing his hand print will later be installed at 'Walk of the Stars' promenade in Bandra. Jeetendra's acting career, that spanned from the ‘60s to ‘90s saw him giving hit films like Boond Jo Ban Gaye Moti, Farz, Mere Huzoor, Parichay, Dharam Veer, Caravan, Khushboo and Himmatwala among countless others. As of now, there are 14 hand impressions of celebrities at the promenade that include those of Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Sridevi, Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Shashi Kapoor and Asha Parekh. With the launch of the statue of Rajesh Khanna earlier this year there are a total five statues including that of Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand and Yash Chopra.
