Male celebs select Best Female Actors of 2013 (TV)
Earlier we carried an article wherein few female television celebs talked about male actors who according to them performed really well this year in the small screen space. Similarly now we speak to some male actors and ask them about their favourite television actresses who performed well in 2013. A report: Anas Rashid: To me the actress who did a fantastic job this year is Rati Pandey in Hitler Didi (Zee TV). I still remember that there was a time when she was portraying three different roles at a time in the show; and I sincerely would want to appreciate her hard work. Another choice would be Sangeeta Ghosh in Jee Le Zara (Sony TV). Making a comeback after a decade Sangeeta didn’t let us feel that we were watching her after a long period. I think she is a very talented and hard working actress. Shaheer Sheikh: According to me it should be Sanaya Irani. She brings positive energy on-screen and appears to be very honest. I like the promo of her upcoming show Rang Rasiya (Colors) and think that she has done a good job again. Mohit Sehgal: Of course my first choice would be my love Sanaya (Irani). It’s not because she is my girlfriend but it is because I genuinely feel that she is a very beautiful and talented actress. Her screen presence and character portrayal is very natural. She has always tried different kind of roles. I am eagerly waiting to see her back in her new show Rang Rasiya. The other top actress will be my dear friend Drashti Dhami (Madhubala and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa). The lady is also a very good looking actress with phenomenal acting skills. In fact I find Drashti and Sanaya to be sisters. Rithvik Dhanjani: It should be the one and only Sakshi Tanwar. I still remember there was a scene where she was imagining Ram Kapoor in dreams and later she broke down in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Sony). That particular scene actually got me goosebumps. I would also like to mention the name of Surekhaji (Sikri). Her character in Balika Vadhu (Colors) though very loud, she presents herself in a great way; she never goes overboard and she never overacts. Karan Mehra: Due to my hectic schedules, I hardly get to watch television so it would be wrong on my part to take any single name. And since I have worked with Neelu Vaghela in Nach Baliye (Star Plus)I know that she is a very hardworking actress and a true performer. I also like Drashti Dhami as an actress. Initially Madhubala (Colors) was on the shoulders of Vivian (Dsena) but now the entire story revolves around Drashti. Neil Bhatt: Due to Ramayan for which I am shooting, have not watched television for a year now. So I would take names of actresses who’ve been part of the industry from quite some time now. They are Sakshi Tanwar and Surekha Sikri. Both of them are extremely dedicated actors and it is always a pleasure seeing them working so hard on-screen. Nakuul Mehta: I feel there are two actresses who have done really good work on television this year. They are Disha Parmar in Pyaar Ka Dard (Star Plus) and Sriti Jha in Balika Vadhu (Colors). Firstly, it is Disha because she being a newcomer has brought out the innocence and purity on screen with a touch of excellence. And Sriti reminds me of a young Sakshi Tanwar as she is an amazingly gifted actress. Shaleen Malhotra: Mmmm… I think it has to be Surbhi Jyoti from Qubool Hai (Zee TV). I have seen her in a few episodes of the show in which she came across as very innocent. I think she is a new face of Indian television and I would love to work with her in some future projects. Lastly, my favourite would be Sanaya Irani (Chhanchhan) for her persistence and Krystle Douza (Ek Hazaaron Mein) for her innocence. Dilip Joshi: Since I don’t get time to watch my own show Taarak Mehta…(SAB TV) it would be wrong on my part to take names of my co stars or other actress. Since it would be unfair, I can’t really comment on it. Arhaan Behll: It is ironical but I haven’t watched television for long. So I have no idea who did well in this year. But I have seen Smriti Kalra in Suvreen Guggal (Channel V) and I really like the way she acts. She isn’t typical but a very natural actress. I like actors who believe in detailing characters.
