Model and actress Iris Maity to enter "revamped" Shapath as the new cop

Life OK’s popular show Hum Ne Li Hai… Shapath, produced by Fireworks Productions is going for a revamp, and we at Tellychakkar.com have written about it earlier today. Along with the stunning comeback of Sarwar Ahuja into the show, Shapath will now see the introduction of a new lady cop. Now coming to the entry, Iris Maity, the elegant beauty who was crowned as the winner of Channel [V]’s Get Gorgeous 2008 has been roped in to play the lady cop Lara. Iris who has done two movies Soch Lo and Tutiya Dil has also participated in the first season of Bigg Boss Bangla. A source tells us that the Shapath Police Station will now be revamped as Futuristic Police Station, like the one seen in Hollywood Movies. The special episodes airing on 21 and 22 December will usher in the revamp and will also introduce Iris and the return of Sarwar Ahuja. Talking about Iris’ character, the source said that Lara will be a no-nonsense cop who will always be on duty. A sincere and hard-working cop, she will be the right mix of beauty and brains. When contacted, Iris told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I have started shooting for Shapath. In fact, I have been getting TV offers for a while now. But I was not so keen on doing anything on TV earlier. However, when I was narrated this character in Shapath, I was very much interested in it. The character is very well-defined and viewers will love to see the role develop.” Here’s wishing Iris all the luck for her new show.
