SAB TV's Jeannie Aur Juju gets 52 episode extension; Ali Asgar agrees to stay after remuneration hike

Fans of SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju finally have a reason to rejoice!! The Sword of Damocles hanging over the favourite fantasy show is lifted, at least for a while. Yes, here are more details on it!! Our readers would remember that Tellychakkar.com had earlier reported about a certain meeting to decide the future of the show. We now hear that after the meeting the channel and makers (Eagle Films) have apparently decided to give the show an extension of 52 episodes. Our source said that the decision might have been made possible after the Eagle Film creative team apparently managed to convince Ali Asgar (Vicky) to stay on, albeit at a higher fee. As per our earlier report, Ali had proposed to quit Jeannie Aur Juju as he was otherwise busy with his other popular show on Colors, Comedy Nights with Kapil. The extension news got confirmed by Navina Bole (Priyanka) who reasons, “May be rising TVTs and a better story have helped to give the show one more lease of life.” Ask her if the decision to replace the lead girl Giaa Manek (Jeannie) with Rubina Dilaik was the right one and she says, “I can’t say whether it was right or wrong, but it was impossible to continue as there were too many complications.” “The introduction of Simple Kaul (Moonie) from the moon as the other woman who loves Vicky has given the storyline the added spice, by making it a three women fight for a man (Jeannie, Moonie and Priyanka) and I guess that is appealing to the viewers,” ends Navina.
