YRF goes digital to fight piracy with the release of Dhoom 3

Dhoom 3
Piracy is such that it has spread into the film industry like cancer from which filmmakers have not been able to come out as yet even after trying out several methods. Now, for their impending release Dhoom 3, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has come forward and decided to go digital with only a few number of prints of the film kept aside for single screens that cannot reach out to digital exhibition. As per reports, the film is being released on the digital and UFO digital cinemas. Incidentally, the makers had earlier informed that there would be no physical reels of Dhoom 3 and hence wanted the exhibitors interested to make technological shift to show the film. Apparently, as many single screen theaters were not equipped, producer Aditya Chopra was certain that big theatres would make the shift to show the Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra-starrer. Reportedly, even the prints are secured with water-mark and finger-print technologies.
