“My character is side-lined” Vineet Raina

Vineet Raina aka Veer of Maayka has gained much popularity in a short spam of time. Currently Vineet is not seen much in the serial and this has upset his fans. They have been demanding to see more of him on screen. The actor is happy with the response of his fans but not so happy with the way his character is shaping up in the show. “I feel my character is side- lined in Maayka . It’s not that I’m unhappy but the way its taking shape makes me feels low,” says Vineet.

It’s not that I’m unhappy but the way its taking shape makes me feels low,” says Vineet. Elaborating more on his role, he says, “Veer is synonymous with Maayka and I’m glad that still it has not lost its charm. I’ve another show, Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai on Zee but I’m more emotionally attached to this one. I can relate myself with Veer and so can the audience.” What are the similarities in Veer and Vineet? “Veer is very humble and a responsible guy who deeply loves his family. Vineet is also the same and believes in simple living and high thinking. The only difference is that Veer is married and I’m still single,” he quips. We called up Dharma, the executive producer of Maayka to enquire about Vineet’s diminishing role. “We work on the screenplay as per the demand of the story. Currently the track is focusing on Soni (Shilpa Shinde), Cherry (Damini Anand) and Jeet (Romit Raj). Of course later we’ll show the romance between Veer and Soni but there is still a lot of time,” he avers. Vineet adds, “I spoke with the channel about my character being side- lined and they have assured me by saying that a new chart is being prepared by them. I don’t bother much of not being in front of the screen as I trust my creative head. I consider myself a Zee actor.” Guess fans will have to still wait awhile to see their hero back in action.
