Vikas Gupta appointed as the Programming Head of MTV

Congratulations Vikas Gupta, the dynamic man of Indian television. Young, vibrant and intelligent, the good looking man has been appointed as the Programming Head of MTV. Ask any actor and they are ready to work for free with Vikas, the producer, who makes shows which redefine their persona on the small screen. The man who became the youngest creative head in the industry working for Balaji, later went on to launch his production house Lost Boy Productions. Under the banner, he launched some of the finest shows in the history of Indian television, namely Gumrah, The Serial, MTV Webbed, and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Now our sources have said that Vikas will take charge as the Programming Head of MTV from 3 February (2014) and will report to Channel Head, Aditya Swami. A channel spokesperson confirmed the development. So with his new responsibility, what happens to Vikas’ production house and his shows? Well, as per a source, Vikas will take a back seat and let his talented team to look into the day to day affair of the shows. Of course, he will supervise the happenings every now and then. The post of Programming Head in MTV lied vacant since 2003. With Vikas being signed on, he is officially the youngest Programming Head, across channels, in the country.
