Finally, Daag finds its leads

We’d first reported on B.A.G. Films’ show Daag that is set to make its way on Colors. Daag has been a work-in-progress for quite sometime but things are finally moving on a faster pace with the show finding its two leads in rookie actors Jayshree Soni and Vivian Dsena. Says a source, “At last, the channel has given their nod for the lead faces. A lot of actors had auditioned for the lead roles but the channel rejected most of them. Finally, rookie actors Jayshree Soni and Vivian Dsena have been signed for the leading roles. Jayshree had earlier played the lead in Sony show Ek safar aisa kabhi socha na tha while Vivian Dsena was seen in Kasamh Se where he played son to Jai Walia. The show also features actors Parul Chaudhary and Sanjay Swaraj.” When contacted, Jayshree refused to confirm or deny anything. Parul Chaudhary too refused to comment. Vivian Dsena remained unavailable for comment. In another development, Daag is now likely to be an afternoon show. The shoot is expected to commence in a couple of weeks while the show will probably launch in September or October. When contacted, B.A.G Films business head Nilanjana Purkyestha said, “We cannot confirm anything as yet.”
