Siddharth Kannan ties knot with Neha Agarwal at Chennai

It’s band, baaja, baraat moment in the television industry these days. Why? It’s because TV actor and RJ Siddharth Kannan got married (2014) to Chennai-based girl Neha Agarwal, a hospitality industry professional on 2 February. The wedding took place on the Covelong beach in Chennai as per the South Indian customs and rituals. To celebrate the same, Siddharth threw a bash at a 5-star hotel in Mumbai last night (4 February). Among the attendees were renowned names from the world of Bollywood and television who graced the occasion to wish the gorgeous looking couple. Names from the film fraternity included Anil Kapoor with wife Sunita Kapoor, Leander Paes, Sonu Sood, Madhur Bhandarkar, Vivek Oberoi, Shaan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Neetu Chandra, Divya Khosla Kumar, Poonam Dhillon, Sandhya Mridul, Suchitra Pillai. Celebrities from the television world included Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal, Meiyang Chang, Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sindhu, Vahbbiz Dorabjee, Munisha Khatwani and many others. Talking about his wedding, Siddharth averred, “Firstly, I wish to thank you for the lovely wishes. Well, the wedding took place in one of the exquisite places of India-the Covelong beach at Chennai. Along with, the wedding sangeet and mehendi ceremonies were also celebrated. Last night we threw a bash at the J W Marriott. It was lovely to see all my close friends come to wish us.” So is this an arranged or a love marriage? “It was a kind of arranged cum love marriage. It so happened that my mom saw Neha at one of her friend’s wedding. She took her contact number and later she put in my proposal to Neha’s family. Later the families matched our kundlis and everything fell into place. Initially, both of us started talking over the phone and met a couple of times to know each other well. I think we are more of friends than a couple,” Siddharth answered. What about honeymoon? “Well, right now we have come to Delhi for the Auto Expo 2014. Later we will be going to Tampa Bay, Florida to attend the IIFA awards. Then it will be upon Neha where she wants to go for our honeymoon,” the actor added. We wish Siddharth and Neha a very happy married life!!!
